Gus didn't quite know what to make of the visitor to our yard on this morning. Friend or foe? The world may never know! He barked, jumped forward, jumped back, barked again, licked its shell... but never quite figured it out.
Gus is our eight year old Havaneese/Poodle mix. He is unique and a little unruly, but tender mutt underneath all that fluff.

New Addition
So, at the beginning of May we added a new little girl to our flock. Her name is Willow. She is a English Crele Orpington. We got her from Doug Austin, a Middle Tennessee breeder whose chickens sell for hundreds of dollars... but Willow was a little less than perfect which made her just perfect for us! We brought her home with the intent to develop a friendship between her and Violet before we are forced to rehome Bud (no roosters allowed in Nashville), but unfortunately Violet died of a brain hemorrhage shortly after Willow joined us... so she became Bud's companion and now they are the best of friends.
